Floris Magnolia by Illulian
Modern, minimalist design, with floral and geometric motifs in keeping with the latest fashion trends characterizes the rugs making up Illulian’s Design Collection. Proposals with ironic and provocative forms and decorations, inspired by art or nature, and emphasized by the rich range of brilliant vegetal colors. Shown here is the Floris Magnolia.
Melt Chair by Bower Studios
Brooklyn’s Bower Studios is known for designs that play with trickery and illusions: trompe l’oeil mirrors that look like arcades, porthole windows and arched doorways. The Melt Lounge Chair features a thick upholstered cushion that droops over a solid wood base, creating a sense of fluidity not usually associated with a solid seat.
Viaggio di Nettuno by Ginori
Ginori has been crafting designer porcelain at its factory near Florence for nearly three-hundred years. This collection, conceived by rising design star Luke Edward Hall, is inspired by Hall’s love of Greco-Roman mythology and depicts mighty rulers caught in ocean winds or riding chariots, the green sheen of their skin recalling ancient bronze and copper statues.
In-Out Cemento by Agape
With sleek lines designed by Benedini Associati, this freestanding circular tub aims to transform the home or garden into an oasis of wellness. Made of Cementoskin®, a new type of concrete paste enriched with resin, the tub features a soft, natural finish in five available colors and is stain and dirt resistant.
Hortensia Armchair by Moooi
It started with a 3D rendering that went viral. Three years ago designers Andrés Reisinger and Júlia Esqué shared their armchair idea on social media and were told by several manufactures that the chair’s plush texture could not be replicated IRL. But after partnering with Moooi the Hortensia Armchair has been realized, and its signature petal fabric, made from over 30,000 laser-cut fronds, is available in 371 different textiles.
Songololo by Haldane
Named after a South African millipede that curls up into a pinwheel-shaped coil when disturbed, this outdoor sofa from Cape Town designer Haldane Martin is built to adopt a variety of contoured forms with a multitude of legs that can coil-up and be shaped and reshaped into curves, lines or something in-between.
